paste with link option not available and circular reference error
Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?

About the paste with link problem, I can show you this screenshot ..I know it's not a lot; as you can see, when I right-click on the cell (which belongs to a table) where I want to paste the data, the icon with the paperclip is not showing and I don't understand why. I can't select it even if I click on Paste special. The data I'm trying to move there come from another table where the cells have formulas inside of them that take values from a third sheet.
Instead, about the circular reference error, inexplicably it vanished today when I re-opened the file.
 
When I copy some cells and try to paste them into a table, the option to paste as a link is not available, as you mention.
But if I convert the table back to an ordinary range, Paste Link is available:
So I'm afraid I don't know why it doesn't work for you. Sorry!
