Paste Special doesn't work

Good morning, I have a question about Excel. I would like to copy a graph from one Excel file to another Excel file, but in such a way that both graphs update automatically. I have already seen on the internet that this should be possible via special paste, but somehow I cannot choose that option when I want to paste the graph. I can press paste special, but then I can only choose 'Paste' and not 'Paste link'. Paste special does work by the way when I paste the graph into powerpoint or word. I am using Microsoft Excel 2013.
