Opening exxcel doc as read only

Hi Excel version 16.35 Mac I want to open an excel (xlsx) file as read only. I do not want to add a password. I just want the choice of opening a file as read only if I want to avoid accidentally...

Hello,

1. Close that Excel workbook
2. Right-click on the Workbook
3. Select Properties
4. Check Read-only box

That's all
