Open a shared online sheet always in the same tab

Hello! We use an excel sheet shared by multiple teams in my organization. Everybody edits it multiple times a week and each team uses their particular tab.

When I open this XLS, if someone else edited it, I'm taken to the last tab that was edited, rather than the last edit I did on it.

How can I always open it in my tab, instead seeing the last edit? Is there a way to do that?

Thank you

As far as I know, this only works with VBA.
However, I haven't tried it with Excel for web.

    Steps for Makro:

Open the VBA editor with Alt+F11
    - Open and activate the project explorer with Ctrl+R
    - now mark the desired file by double-clicking it
    - Double click below this file on 'ThisWorkbook'
    - the code window of 'ThisWorkbook' is now in the right half of the window
    - paste the code there
    - save and close the VBA editor with Alt+F4
    - the macro is now available to you

    Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    Sheets("Sheet1").Activate
    End Sub

    Additional Information:

Automatically open a specific workbook or template when you start Excel

Collaborate on Excel workbooks at the same time with co-authoring

Hello! Thank you very much for your post 🙂
However I wasn't able to do this. I found the Scripts editor after some back and forth, but I'm not very knowledgeable in Excel, and that may be a problem, since I couldn't create this. Also I'm afraid shortcuts are different in Mac, but I think the functionality may differ in Excel for web.
