Office 365 Subscription

Hello there,
I have Office 365 family membership, but even though I have downloaded the updates, I am mostly allowed to use the latest version formulas or sometimes I cannot access these formulas (for example the ToCol function)
I couldn't make any sense of this situation. I need help if anyone knows why?
