number format in excel

You can do this just for Excel.
1. Open Excel and go to File > Options.
2. Select "Advanced" from the left menu.
3. Scroll down to the 'Editing' options section.
4. Uncheck the option that says "Use system separators".
5. Now you can manually set:
Decimal separator: .
Thousands separator: ,
6. Click OK.
