not able to add rows

Dear all,

I am working on sorting my data set and somehow I cannot insert any rows or columns anymore. Neither a full row/column nor a row/column for selected cells. Who can help me out, what could this be? It was working just fine until now. I did not protect/secure my sheet. I also tried to clear all the columns outside of the dataset but both do not work. Who knows what I can do?

    Hi Mirthe 

     

    do you get any error message when you try to insert rows or columns.

    As you said that your sheet is not protected, my first thought was that there might be some data at the far right end of the worksheet or at the very bottom row. So inserting cells or rows would push these entries "beyond" the worksheet. This is also the case if the cell contains only a comment/note.

I am working on sorting my data set and somehow I cannot insert any rows or columns anymore. Neither a full row/column nor a row/column for selected cells. Who can help me out, what could this be? It was working just fine until now. I did not protect/secure my sheet. I also tried to clear all the columns outside of the dataset but both do not work. Who knows what I can do?

do you get any error message when you try to insert rows or columns.

As you said that your sheet is not protected, my first thought was that there might be some data at the far right end of the worksheet or at the very bottom row. So inserting cells or rows would push these entries \"beyond\" the worksheet. This is also the case if the cell contains only a comment/note.
