no links/VBA/addons, but : Microsoft excel waiting for another application to complete an ole action
Please deactivate the add-ins in Excel and Word (via File> Options> Add-Ins> COM-Add-Ins> Go to / Go) and test the behavior.
If this does not help, set the check mark for hardware graphics acceleration in Word via File> Options> Advanced> Display and test the behavior.
If this doesn't help either, proceed as follows:
Login as administrator required
- Press the key combination Windows key + R on your keyboard. The Run dialog box opens.
- Enter the command appwiz.cpl and click OK.
- Find your Microsoft Office 365 in the list.
- Click on it with the right mouse button and select Change.
- Select Online Repair and click Repair.
- Wait until the repair is complete and restart your computer.
- Test the behavior of Office.

- Thanks. That's worked for me. The issue was almost ruined my day. I just went to online repair Microsoft excel 365 and uninstalled all previously installed office version and cleared DDE. Now it's works fine. The file were shared in Google drive. Thanks a lot.
