New/Modify Custom Table Style does not allow font changes - Excel 2010

Hi,

We are using Excel 2010.  When I create a new table style (custom) or modifying an existing style, I don't see a way to change the font type (Arial or something) or font size?  In Fonts tab, I can change only underline, color, style and effects only.  Is this by design or should I be changing the setting somewhere?

Many thanks,

-Srini

  • Hello,

fonts are not part of the table styles. Table styles are about the coloring of the cells. The font is determined by the workbook theme and/or the cell style.

is this still true?  if so, why is there a tab for fonts on the modify table style window?  also, what if you want differences in font on header line or in a totals line?
