As far as I know, you cannot change the default behavior.
You can create a small macro in your personal macro workbook PERSONAL.XLSB:
Sub NewSheet()
On Error GoTo ErrHandler
Worksheets.Add After:=Sheets(Sheets.Count)
Exit Sub
ErrHandler:
Beep
End SubYou can assign a custom keyboard shortcut and/or a custom Quick Access Toolbar button to this macro for convenience.
