Nested Ranking

I am trying to automate a football office pool to show the winner.  I'm not entirely sure this is possible.

this is a screen shot. I can't seem to be able to wrap my head around this.

I'm using Office 365.

I'm not entirely sure this is possible.

If you can conceive of it, and if the heuristics (underlying principles or rules) can be articulated, then you can pretty much take it for granted that it IS possible. Excel is very powerful, has lots of flexibility. The trick often is putting into words first how X is to be accomplished.

So here, although a lot can be inferred, the only rule you've actually articulated is that tie-breaker rule. The terminology may be a bit inconsistent (or confusing; clear to you but you're assuming it's clear to the reader who's not part of it.)

So for the sake of clarity, please spell out the relationship between the "points" along the top and the word "score" in the tie-breaker. What is the source of the Points numbers? And where do the numbers of Wins and "Difference" come from? Is there an area on the spreadsheet that contains more data?

You would help us help you, though, if rather than just showing an image -- which requires us to recreate the data and layout on our own --If you were to post a copy of the sheet from which you made the image; post that actual spreadsheet on OneDrive or GoogleDrive and paste a link here that grants access to it.

You might be assuming that I--red-blooded American male (though you didn't know that)--understand pools of this type. I don't. Never take part in them. Never look at them. Haven't, as a result, any idea of what all those sheets mean or how to navigate them.

Maybe somebody else can make sense of that OneDrive workbook, but you'll have to do a lot of connecting the dots between that and your original posting for me. I understand (to a certain extent) Excel, but not sports pools.
