Need some help with date formatting in excel
I have a large amount of data that come over in this format. I would like to view this data or sort it first by year, then month, day, hour and min. Can this be done?

Can you highlight the column with the dates, press ctrl+h and then find . replace with /
Excel should then realise that its a date time and let you sort oldest/newest which ever you are after

Hia,
Give this a go, highlight the column, click on the data ribbon and then text to column.
Select the fixed width, and press Next twice. On that screen there are 4 check boxes in the top left, tick date and select DMY from the drop down.
That should be the right format, you will end up with the time part in the next column but you should still be able to work with that.
