Most probably you have not time (which is form of number), but texts which represents number. AVERAGE() of texts returns division on zero error since function ignores all texts in the range and there is no one number. Thus you calculate average of nothing.

Please use double dash to convert texts to numbers (time)

    =AVERAGE(--A2:A42)

    Hi 288088

How are your cells formatted in column A?

I tried with hh:mm:ss and it seems to be working fine.

Then using this formula, I got an average.

    =AVERAGE(A2:A41)

My knowledge of "medel" is none existent (I'm actually assuming "medel" is Swedish or maybe German. Am I close?) so I can't really comment on your current formula.
