need help filter not working properly

So heres my problem...

we have an excel spreadsheet set up to track training. One the first column we have company names, the second column persons names from that company. now the first column the fields with the company name are as big as the amount of workers ok? like if company a has 10 workers its 10 lines wide. what we want to be able to do is is filter the first column by name and have all the workers for that company show up. problem is when we do that only the first persons name shows up. there are no breaks or empty lines anywhere. any ideas on how to make the filter show what we want or is it just useless?
