Need help fast. Permissions issue

HELP! I'm doing a presentation in 6 hours. I discovered that the spreadsheet that I created on my desktop can not be modified when I load it on my laptop. I see to have no permissions but can't change. The presentation requires that I add data to the spreadsheet! How can I fit this in a hurry!
