Moving cell content without moving cell format
Hi, I simply want to move the content of a cell without impacting the format of the cell. I don't want to use cut and paste value only but move the content

Hello, was looking for an answer to this same question, and I found a work around that is not too much of a hassle.
- Select the cells you want to move and right-click-drag them to the new location.
- Select the option "Copy Here as Values Only".
- Delete the values in the old location (select original cells and press Delete on your keyboard).
Would have been nice to have a "Move Here as Values Only" option, but hey, when life gives you lemons...

- Whenever i want to move the content of a cell somewhere else without impacting the cell itself i press F2 to enter inside the cell, copy it's contents, then go to the other cell you want to fill, press F2 again to enter and then paste the content while you are inside the cell.
Hope it's what you re looking for - You're specifically rejecting Paste Special (if I'm reading you correctly), where you can "paste value only" and yet that sounds like it's the solution. So maybe I'm not understanding what you mean by wanting only to "move the content." What is that other than cutting and pasting value only? [Your images are impressive, by the way.]

It looks like "pasting value only" only works with copy. Paste special is greyed out for me with cut. Evey if it was available, I often find myself moving things around creating a new table and I think having a move value only shortcut on the keyboard would save a lot of time.
