Missing DAX Functions SELECTEDVALUE and ISINSCOPE in Excel 365
Hello Community,
I hope you're all doing well. I am facing an issue with my Excel 365 installation and I would greatly appreciate your assistance. I am using Excel 365 version 2307 (Build 16626.20068).
I have been working extensively with DAX formulas in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. However, I have noticed that some important DAX functions like SELECTEDVALUE and ISINSCOPE, seem to be unavailable in my Excel 365 environment.
Despite my efforts to locate these functions within the Excel formulas library, they do not appear to be accessible. I have made sure that my Excel 365 installation is up to date with the latest updates, but the functions are still missing.
If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has insights on how to enable or access the SELECTEDVALUE and ISINSCOPE functions in Excel 365, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. It is possible that I might be overlooking something or that these functions are not available in the current version.
Any assistance or suggestions you can provide to help resolve this issue would be highly appreciated.
Both are available on insider channel. That's only to wait when it'll be deployed on current channel, or shift on Beta. It is stable enough, the only you loss the compatibility with people on production versions.

SergeiBaklan I am on the Beta Channel, always had access to these formulas but this changed early September 2023. It is causing alot of my Financial Reports to break.
My Questions:
1. Do you know why they removed these formulas?
2. I know the alternative to use for SELECTEDVALUE, but do you know what I can replace ISINSCOPE with?
I would really appreciate any feedback here as these 2 missing formulas is very disruptive to my business at the moment.
I make a quick test, both are available
where
Total:=IF( SELECTEDVALUE( Table1[B] ) = "x" , SUM( Table1[V]), 11 ) IsFiltered:=IF( ISINSCOPE(Table1[B]), "Yes","No")
I'm on

Hi SergeiBaklan,
I just stumbled upon this issue and your answer. 🙂
I'm experiencing the same problem with a workbook I created in beta version 2409, which includes at least 50 measures using the functions ISINSCOPE and SELECTEDVALUE. I'm encountering major issues when other members of our organization, who are on the Current Channel, try to work with it.
Do you have any updates on when these functions might be available in the Current Channel?
Kind regards,
MarcusHave no idea, Microsoft doesn't share such information.
