merg Two CSV files with different information

I am in the process of taking a .CSV file (dtd 2017) and updating it with a new CSV (dtd 2018). I would like to keep the 2017 information and update it with 2018, keeping 2017 information populated. Is there a way to do this and remove duplicates in Excel/Access?

    Can you please provide more data regarding how your data is formatted and laid out in the CSV files?  The more detailed your explanation the easier it is for someone on the forum to assist with your task.

     

    1. What does the data in the two files look like?

    2. What does update mean in your scenario?  Are you doing some kind of vlookup or are you simply wanting to "stack" the data vertically and remove duplicates...

     

    Maybe try navigating to Data > Remove Duplicates?
