HI, I'm new to excel formulas and conditional formatting! I'm using a spreadsheet to track new hires, and I'm trying to figure out how I can use "less footsteps" and not have to apply conditional formatting to every.single.cell. in a column..... I'd like to be able to type in something into my "L" column, and have the "D, M, N & O" columns to change color based on what is typed. I know that I can go in and individually click on the cells and then conditionally format them, but I'm going to have well over 300 different entries that I'm going to be working with. I'd love to get that time back! I've tried searching on this forum but can't find what I'm looking for....Thanks for your help! Hello Community, I'm in desperate need of help with a problem for my accounting class. I've attached the file. The problem is: In cell H6, enter a formula to determine any discount that should be applied. If the payment method was Express Miles or Rewards, the customer should receive the discount shown in B42. If no discount should be applied, the formula should return a zero. Use the named range for cell B42, not the cell address, in this formula. Copy the function down the column to cell H32. I've tried all types of variations of the =IF function and I got nowhere. I do the rotas/schedule for volunteers at my church. Is it possible for excel to allocate volunteers to a rota whilst taking into account the days they are not available? Each rota has a list of names of volunteers prepared to be on the rota. Before the rota is completed we ask them to tell us the dates they can not help; then the names are allocated to the rota as fairly as possible making sure they are not rostered on a day they are unavailable. Then the rota is published paper format. I made, what i thought would be a helpful, start to a spreadsheet but can not find a way to easily take into account the days people are not available. Hi, Ive created a spreadsheet. I require 4 x spreadsheets and x 5 books. each sheet representing a week of the month and a book for each month until `December at least. When I've copied the worksheet the information in the dropdown menus haven't come across, although the formulas in different columns have. In the original workbook I had a second sheet within the book with the information to go into the drop down menus.
