Match and SUMIFS
I am trying to create a formula that counts all hours and dollars for specific pay codes for specific employees. The sample below would count all instances of the unique pay code in column L for all unique employees in column A and return that total of column U that corresponds to the pay code in column L. Can someone assist?

See attached sample workbook. I think this is what you're looking to accomplish.
- Jodie_600Copper ContributorI was able to carry down formula for F and G to more rows. However, I am struggling with column H. Any advice on what I am doing wrong?
- Patrick2788Silver ContributorThere are only two places where the formula is input in the sample: F2 and H2. To spill more cells vertically, update the backend of the ranges in the two formulas. In the sample, you'd change row 10 to be the desired row.
- Jodie_600Copper ContributorThanks Patrick. Exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate your quick response.

Jodie_600 Looks like you can insert "sub-totals" for every change in employee code.
More about that in the link below.
