Make Excel Office 365 open at cell A1? Or create a hyperlink to it?
- Nov 08, 2019
when i mindlessly appended &activeCell='Sheet1'!A1 at the end of the url it did not work for me. in my situation, my A1 is part of a frozen and merged blob of cells. but my B7 is a clean unfrozen unmerged cell. Also, my sheet is not labelled "Sheet1"...it is labelled "PricePage".......so to make it work for me, i simply appended the following code: &activeCell='PricePage'!B7..................great thanks to everyone in this forum
JohnJackman it seems not to work for me.
What I have found "easy" is right clicking the cell I want the sheet to open on and select "Link to this range" and then use that URL...

My way works, but your way is so much easier. The only caveat is that when I did it your way, a message popped up on that cell on the spreadsheet saying that it was shared by me. Given that this is for a spreadsheet that I am sharing with my customers, I prefer it my way (the more difficult way but without that message popup). Thanks so much for sharing.
