Macro voor changing text content in cel

Question

I have cells with lastnames and initials placed like: Houten A.D. van

This must be changed into: A.D. van Houten

I select the initials in the formula bar and press Ctrlx, Home, Ctrlv, Space, Tab, Arrow down, Arrow left.

Then this cell is changed and I am the next cell that must be changed.
I have to do about more then 1000 cells so I want to make a macro.

BUT when I am in the formula bar and have selected the initials and I want to record the commands I cannot record a macro, that options turns grey as soon as I click in the formula bar.
Can anyone tell me how I can manage this?
