walmsb Sorry! Misread the sheet names, but that doesn't matter. Can you upload a file demonstrating what you are dealing with.

walmsbThanks! Now explain what you do with it. You linked two cells in Sheet2 to cells in Sheet1, column E based on a matching description in column A on both sheets. The Asset Manager in Sheet 2 is now linked to a date for the first Asset Manager in Sheet1. Should you want to have that automatically updated to the date belonging to the last "Asset Manager" in Sheet1, the one in row 14?
If that is the case, see attached. Sheet2, column D contains a similar formula as the one I suggested earlier.

thank you. wow that is a seriously long link. The sheet I sent you was probably a bit confusing, I have attached a better one here. I am adding rows into sheet 1, and want sheet 2 to always include the date that corresponds to Sheet 1. Eg when I add a row below Charlie in Sheet 1, I always want the Freddie date to link in Sheet 2 (hence link to C7). Will the long link you suggested do this? Thank you for your help.... v appreciative

walmsb You've lost me. When I insert a row on Sheet1 below Charlie, the row with Freddie moves down to row 7 and the link to Freddie's date in Sheet2 follows the move to row 7 automatically. What's the problem?
If this makes no sense at all, kindly upload a schedule that represents your actual situation. Not just a "better example".
