Linking two files

Hello,

As you can see from the 1st attachment (car fleet), I would like to double-click on a cell or whichever is the best way to automatically open up a separate file (car fleet 2) which provides a drill down detail of  'car fleet'. Is that possible?

Thanks

Michael

As far as I could gather from your text...

Yes, it is possible to link two Excel files so that when you double-click on a cell in one file, it opens up another file that provides more detailed information.

Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Open the first file (car fleet) and select the cell that you want to link.
    2. Right-click on the cell and select “Hyperlink” from the context menu.
    3. In the “Insert Hyperlink” dialog box, select “Existing File or Web Page” on the left side of the dialog box.
    4. Navigate to and select the second file (car fleet 2) that you want to link to.
    5. Click “OK” to create the hyperlink.

Now, when you double-click on the cell in the first file (car fleet), it will automatically open up the second file (car fleet 2) that provides more detailed information.
