Linking PowerPoint with excel
Hi, I have PowerPoint presentation with lots of tables and charts and is linked with a excel file, every month I need to create a copy of the excel and PPT and rename them like June, July, Aug. So in the current month when I used to update the link it refers to the last month, so is there any way available to update the PPT with current month excel file in one go keeping the same format.

Is the PowerPoint file a template, so that it's always blank when you first open it, waiting for the link to be filled? If so, I should think you could name the Excel file "CurrentData" or some equivalent, only applying the month's name when it's no longer current?
It's hard to visualize the exact circumstances that you're dealing with, but it sounds like something that could be resolved just by re-thinking the naming convention being used. So tell me what I'm missing.
