linking excel workbooks in the same SharePoint
To establish a connection between two Excel workbooks in SharePoint, you can follow these steps:
Open both the source workbook (containing the data you want to link) and the destination workbook (where you want to create the link).
In the source workbook, select the range of cells or table that you want to link to the destination workbook.
Copy the selected cells by pressing Ctrl+C or right-clicking and choosing "Copy."
Switch to the destination workbook.
In the destination workbook, select the cell where you want the linked data to appear.
Right-click the selected cell and choose "Paste Special."
In the Paste Special dialog box, choose the "Paste Link" option. This should create a link to the source data.
Click "OK" to complete the linking process.
Note: The availability of the "Paste Link" option may vary depending on the version of Excel and the specific settings of your SharePoint environment. Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access and modify both workbooks in SharePoint.
If the "Paste Link" option is disabled or unavailable, it could be due to limitations or restrictions set by your SharePoint administrator. In that case, you may need to consult with your SharePoint administrator or IT department for assistance in enabling this feature.
Additionally, make sure that both workbooks are stored in a SharePoint document library that allows linking and that you have appropriate permissions to access and modify the files.
