Linked worksheet

Blanks in a linked worksheet appears as 0.  How do I make the 0 disappear? I've tried hiding it under conditional formatting by setting the rule as cells with value =0 with format font to white color.  It does not work cos the font color automatically changes back to black. Formatting the cell to white color works but then the cells that I want to highlight to my choice of colors are turned to white as well.

Please help.  Thank you in advance

    hanairi You may set a custom format to all cells like:

    0;-0;

    The first part will determine how positive numbers are displayed, the second part takes care of the negatives and by not including anything after the third semi-colon you tell Excel to hide zeroes.

    The attached file contains an example.
