LAMBDA Function

Hi, Which version and build of Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel will include LAMBDA function? Is LAMBDA open the general user of Office 365? Thanks,

  • Hi tanacal, LAMBA is not yet available to SAC (Semi-Annual Enterprise) users. Unfortunately, I do not know when it will be released to this channel, but it shouldn't be more than 3-4 months out!

    Hello tanacal

The LAMBDA function, an exciting addition to Excel allowing the creation of custom, reusable functions without writing VBA, is indeed available to general Office 365 subscribers. However, the availability in the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel can vary as features are rolled out over time to ensure stability and reliability for enterprise users.

Typically, new functions like LAMBDA first appear in the Monthly Enterprise Channel before making their way to the Semi-Annual Channel. To access LAMBDA right now, you may consider using the Monthly Channel or the Beta Channel, where the newest features are available for testing.

For the exact version and build number that includes the LAMBDA function in the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel, it's best to keep an eye on the Microsoft 365 update notes or the Microsoft Excel community. These resources are updated regularly and will provide the most accurate and timely information.
