Keyboard shortcut for fill down not working in Excel
I've had previous versions of Excel and CTRL+D always worked to fill down. In fact, it also worked in Excel 365 until within the last few months. Strange thing is that in some of my older Excel files, it works, but when I save them, then it seems to stop working. Don't know if I have changed some setting to invalidate it.

- Jim22122 did you find the fix? I have been using Ctrl + D in MS Excel for over 25 years and it just stopped working for me this month. I'm wondering if is has something to do with new safety protocols with my current employer; OneDrive; some other random software that prevents it. Same as you Ctrl + R still works to fill right; my workaround is to add Fill Down to my quick access toolbar. So frustrating. (Menu path is Home > Editing menu > Fill > Down right click to add to Quick Access) (Keystrokes - Alt H, Fi, menu key, A)
Many years later I have the same issue in a heavily restricted Work from Home setup, the Quick Access bar approach is a perfect workaround till our local IT figures out how to resolve it for good. I just want to add that the Quick Access button gets its own shortcut key assigned, Ctrl-U in my case, which just replaces Ctrl-D in Excel, no fuss at all.
Today someone posted on anther thread that it could be a shortcut in WebEx. For me it was. In the WebEx desktop app I went to my profile picture, Settings, Keyboard Shortcuts, Meetings & Calls, and disabled all the keyboard shortcuts including Ctrl+D decline call.
Thank you ShellyDxGen ! I disabled my WebEx shortcuts and now I can joyfully use my Excel shortcut again!
