Is there a way to turn off the link warning in excel?
The security notice you are encountering in Excel is there to ensure the safety of your system, especially when dealing with hyperlinks leading to external sources. In some cases, if the link is from a trusted source or your OneDrive (a verified, safe location), Excel may not prompt you with a security notice.
However, there are a couple of ways to potentially prevent this notice:
Enable Trusted Locations
- Excel Options: Go to File > Options.
- Trust Center: Choose Trust Center from the options.
- Trust Center Settings: Select Trust Center Settings.
- Trusted Locations: Add the folder (like OneDrive) or network path to trusted locations.
Trust the Document or Location
- If it is an internal or trusted document, you can try to trust the document's location in the trust settings.
Adjust Macro Security Settings
- Check the macro settings (File > Options > Trust Center > Macro Settings) and adjust these settings to potentially affect the behavior of linked items.
Always be cautious when changing security settings to avoid potential risks to your system. It is recommended to maintain secure configurations. If the data source is verified and secure, consider marking the location as trusted in Excel settings. The text and steps were edited with the help of AI.

None of the options worked. I figured I'd restart the computer but I was very much in the middle of work at the time, and then forgot. But I have rebooted since then and it hasn't fixed it.
