Is it possible to track changes in my excel file?
Hello there!
I wanted to ask you if it is possible to track changes by other users in my excel file, if I sent it to someone and got it back with a different content?
If yes, am I also able to find out if it was copied and pasted in?
and if that is also possible, would i be able to see from which file the new content was pasted in?
Assuming that I would use the newest version of excel on any OS.
Thanks for your help! Can't wait to find out! 🙂
Do you happen to know if it is possible to see from which file something has been inserted?
Couldn't find out with the links you sent.No. That ist not possible.
If you send a file via email then it arrives as a copy on the other side. And when it is sent back to you it is another copy.

Show changes was recently introduced. But it only works on the same file - not on a copy.

But maybe you can use Spreadsheet Compare.

Also it is the same file! It has just been edited on a different computer before it was sent back to mine.- Detlef_LewinSilver Contributor
