incrementing cell with table based on other cell value
Hi Richard Stanley,
Your explaination not sufficient to me.
Specify in which sheet and in which column you want result.
You Want Result in CONDUIT sheet in Column E. On which basis you put values? So that i can help you.
- Richard StanleyJul 14, 2017Copper ContributorI want Conduit!E4 to increment up (based on table Tables!G5:G13)until the value in Conduit!H4 reaches the highest value possible without exceeding .40. After looking at it more last night I thought maybe using index(Tables!,(Match(table,x.x) or something in this line. I haven't figured it out yet. - Logaraj SekarJul 14, 2017Iron ContributorHi Richard Stanley, Still having confusion. On which basis you put value "0.75, 1.5, .325, etc" in Column E. You want above values as result??? Coz, still no one is answered. May be my questions make them clear. In Sheet "Table", Column F is left as blank but respective Column G has some values, How is it? Is there anything missed in Column F. - Richard StanleyJul 14, 2017Copper ContributorYes the value I want to display is (.75,1,1.25,1.5, etc.) I hadn't put anything in the left column but reserved it if I needed to add something. That number represents the size of a electrical conduit. The .4 I am not allowed to exceed is the area of the cables that are held in that conduit. So, as I fill the conduit with cables to the maximum of 40% when I cross that percentage it needs to index the size of the conduit up to the next trade size in the table.
