Importing live data from RS232
I have an old computer, which has a basic program to import a stream of ASCII characters sent from an instrument into Excel. The program does not run on my new Windows 10 computer which also does not have a serial port. I believe I can convert to USB, but how do I have excel grab the data? I can format when the data is there. Thanks

Perhaps this https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Excel-Blog/Excel-and-Micro-Bit-Hacking-for-fun-and-creativity/ba-p/63603 could help somehow

SergeiBaklan Well, nice try, but the Microbit has only one USB connection. There is no way to get the data to the microbit to pass on to Excel. Any body else have ideas?

Sorry, I can't help with this. I'd recommend at least
1) Repeat your question here as separate one with bit more details - usually people don't read comments to already answered questions
2) Repeat your question in comments to the Excel and Micro:Bit blog directly mentioning author (Yigal Edery)
- Hutch000Copper ContributorThanks Sergei, I just bought one from Ward's Scientific. Wish me luck!

All such stuff is definitely not my territory but I'm always impressed seeing as someone play with things. Good luck!
