Thank you for your response. All fields and references are set to date (the green sheets are those that are referenced in the white sheet) and ISNUMBER returned false. Also, Text-to-Columns did not work.

I had a thought to look for a function that would convert the result to date format and came across DATEVALUE. I was able to combine that with my XLOOKUP and IF statements to get the equation to work. Somehow it resolved the problem. It all depends in which locale you are. Text to Columns converts texts to dates in your locale in any case. If you are in US locale, DATEVALUE("11/28/2022") works, for other locales not.
