I have a cashbook spreadsheet which in Col A shows money in, Col B shows money out, Col C shows the cost code, and Cols D, E, F, etc one for each of the cost codes. So, for example, if there's a cos...
This will be easiest if the headers in D1, E1, F1 etc. correspond exactly to the cost codes entered or selected in column C.
In D2:
=IF($A2=D$1, -$A2, IF($B2=D$1, $B2, ""))
Fill to the right then down (or vice versa)
