If funktion alphabetical assignments

Hello everyone,
First of: first post and not a native english speaker so please excuse my mistakes.

Basically I have a giant sheet with a lot of customer names. These customers need to be alphabetically assigned to a customer-service-person.

Example (these names are purely fictional):
John is assigned to everyone with the name going from A-Bec
Karl is assigned to everyone with the name going from Bed-Car

I have a table with all the names and would need to put the assigned person next to their data.
How would I do that? I tried =if but that's the limit of what I can do right now.

Thanks in advance

    Hi lucaspaul

Please take a look at attached file and tell me if this is what you need. it's not the smartest and most dynamic solution but if it works, it works 🙂

You can enter new customers in column A and the sales person from the table on the right will be assigned. For each sales person you can assigned a FROM and TO letter from the alphabet
