if equal formula

if value in E2 is = to value in B2, then transfer info in c2 to D2 How can I write that in a formula please.

Formula in C2:

=(E2=B2)*D2

  I did try this new formula and it gives me a "false" error. i must not be explaining it correctly. I will try again.
  if cell E2 has the same id number as the id number in cell B2, then the name in D2 should populate into the cell in C2. I hope this makes more sense.

    FALSE is not an error, it is the result of the formula if E2 ist NOT equal B2.
    Do the check:
    =B2=E2
