I need Excel help

Hello there, I am new to Excell and I have a question, please help,

 

In Office 365, after selecting a cell with the left mouse button, I cannot use the scroll wheel to scroll down the page to select other cells. Is it just like this in office 365, or does it need to be resolved through settings?

 

I am confused because I can do this in Word documents but cannot do this in Excel.

 

IF you can help me I will be greatly thankful!!

    RLee7221 To select multiple cells quickly, you can use many different ways.

    1. Contiguous ranges:
      1. Click on the first cell
        hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and click on the last cell
      2. Drag across the cells you want selected
    2. non-contiguous cells:
      1. Click the first cell (or drag more than one cell)
      2. Hold down the control key and start clicking and dragging other cells/ranges of cells

    You can also select cells easily using the keyboard:

    1. use the arrow keys to go to the first cell
    2. Hold down the shift key and use the arrow keys to expand the selected area
