I have a really simple graph question

Hello! I'm pulling an all-nighter finishing this research paper and I CANNOT figure out how to get this graph how I want it. It's super simple, just comparing the voter turnout and the # of days from the registration deadline to election day. I really want the turnout on the y-axis and the # of days on the x-axis, but when I make the graph it's giving me two data sets and I'm not really sure what it's trying to do. Please help!! My brain is fried and I'm frustrated 😕

    That's since your X-axis data is not top left column, Excel assumes on X are States. To adjust

    - right click your Chart and Select Data

    - here ignore X, remove first series, and edit second one

    - select proper X and Y for the series

    Result is like this

    - click on Change Chart Type and select Scatter with lines

     

    The rest is just cosmetic:
