Hyperlink in Excel help
I am trying to create a hyperlink in an Excel worksheet that links to a word document on my computer. When I first add it, I can pull up the document. When I try to share it with others, they only get a 404 error. The same thing happens to me once I have shared it. I have been using Lists to share the file.

Please double check the path, whether point to your local drive such as C:\Users\YourName\Documents\file.docx), others won’t be able to access it because their computer doesn’t have that exact path.
For hosting in SharePoint or OneDrive, you may considering below:
- Upload the document to OneDrive or SharePoint.
- Right-click the file → Get Link → Copy the shared link.
- In Excel, use this link as the hyperlink instead of a local path.
