How to convert a number result into a colour on an excel spreadsheet

Hi,

 

I want to use colours to represent numbers on an excel spreadsheet through a formula or macro and keen to get help and tips from here.

 

Is this feasible, if so how do I go about it?

    Hi, I’ve solved my problem. Conditional Formatting does exactly what I need!

    Thank you. This doesn’t fit my need. To clarify my question: When the result is 1 I want a colour GREEN to appear in the cell 2 = AMBER 3 = RED Hope this is clearer. W
