HOW TO COLOUR ADJACENT CELLS THE SAME COLOUR
On a bank statement Column A is the Date , Column B the Description and Column c the amount.
I colour column B according to the various descriptions using formatting tool
How do I colour column A and C the same colour as the colours in column B
besides doing it manually ?

I found no conditional formatting rules in your file, looks like you color column B manually. If so, select B, click on Format Painter and apply to other columns
If automatically some formal logic how to select this or that color is to be defined, with it you may apply automatic formatting to all columns.
