How to change the chart type of a data series(macOS)?
- Jun 17, 2021
YYAppleFan It's really very simple. Go back to your original chart with the two rings. I believe the inner ring already had the regional data in it.
Right_click the inner ring, format data series.
Now set the doughnut hole size to 0%
Riny_van_Eekelen Sorry, that doesn't work for me.You can view the problem in the video below. Thanks for your patience.
YYAppleFan Not sure what you are trying to achieve, but as far I understand having different chart types in one graph, requires a combo chart type and I don't think you can combine a pie chart with a sunburst chart.

Riny_van_Eekelen However, here's an example from my online class teacher. He successfully combined two different chart types into one chart using the the Windows version of Excel. The document is attached below.

YYAppleFan Okay! I was confused at first. Thinking I was looking at a sunburst chart. Now I realise that it's a doughnut.
You need the switch the series order so that the inner ring contains the three regional data points. Then, set the size of the doughnut hole for the inner circle to 0 in Format data series.

And could you please record the steps you take by video or screenshots? Instructions in words made me confused.
Eagerly waiting for your reply.
