How do I remove read only

I created a workbook that is being viewed by others in a group. I set it to read only as well as protected the sheet/structure with a password. I need to make changes. When I opened the workbook it said that it had to be read only. I was able to unlock it with the password but can not remove the read only. I had to save it with a different name. Even the new work book insists that it is read only. I cant seem to remove this restriction for my self. Can some one help me with this? I will be making frequent changes and updates. I really dont want to have to rename and save it in a new location with every time Iedit the information it contains

    Hello Connie_G,

     

    Find your file in your documents, right-click the file, select properties, under General click Read-only. This should fix your issue.
