How do I Hide and Unhide the Formula Bar in Excel?

I do not wish to see the formula bar on the top of the spreadsheet in excel, is there a feature available in Excel to hide Formula Bar?

    In the desktop version of Excel for Windows (and I assume for Mac too) there is a check box 'Formula Bar' on the View tab of the ribbon.

    The online (browser) version does not have this check box.

    Follow these steps below to Hide and UnHide formula bar in Microsoft Excel:

    1.Launch Excel
    2. Click the View tab
    3.Uncheck the checkbox for the Formula Bar in the Show group.
    4. The Formula Bar will disappear
    5.Check the checkbox to unhide the Formula Bar
