How do I disable sounds?
Greetings, I do not want any sounds from Excel. How do I turn them all off?
Audre575 Perhaps you have "Provide feedback with sound" enabled. Switch it off. In my version it's located under Options, Accessibility. Other version may refer to it as "Ease of access".
I have tried all of these, and my PC still makes a ding sound when I search for something in Excel and it doesn't find the search item.
I know you did not ask me but I had the same trouble so maybe you're making the same mistake I did. In the pictures above of "sound settings". I thought I had turned it off by simply clicking the "Play windows startup sound" but you have to actually scroll to the top and pick "None" in the "Sounds:" bar.
