Steps to Set Up Conditional Formatting Based on Specific Text

1. Select the Cell(s):
• First, select the cell or range of cells where you want the conditional formatting to apply.
2. Open Conditional Formatting:
• Go to the Home tab on the ribbon.
• Click on Conditional Formatting.
• Select New Rule.
3. Choose a Rule Type:
• In the "New Formatting Rule" dialog box, select Format only cells that contain.
4. Set the Condition:
• Under "Format only cells with", choose Specific Text.
• In the drop-down menu, select containing.
• In the text box, type the word or phrase that should trigger the formatting (e.g., "Complete").
5. Choose the Format:
• Click on the Format button.
• In the "Format Cells" dialog box, go to the Fill tab.
• Choose the color you want to apply when the word is typed in the cell.
• Click OK.
6. Apply and Confirm:
• Click OK in the "New Formatting Rule" dialog box to apply the rule.
• Now, whenever you type the specified word in the selected cells, they will automatically be filled with the color you chose. The text was created with the help of AI.
