    Nothing is wrong with Excel — it’s doing exactly what you told it to do.

    What’s happening

    In Dutch Excel, the function ALS() has 3 required arguments:

    ALS(logische_test; waarde_als_waar; waarde_als_onwaar)

    Your formula:

    =ALS(L13<6;"1-5 pieces")

    is missing the third argument (waarde_als_onwaar).
    When Excel doesn’t know what to return if the condition is false, it returns ONWAAR (“not true”).

    That’s why you see “not true”.

    Correct solution for ranges

    Nested ALS

    =ALS(L13<6;"1-5 pieces";

     ALS(L13<11;"6-10 pieces";

     ALS(L13<16;"11-15 pieces";

     ALS(L13<21;"16-20 pieces";""))))

    This works step-by-step and is compatible with all Excel versions.

    ALS.VOORWAARDEN

    =ALS.VOORWAARDEN(

     L13<6;"1-5 pieces";

     L13<11;"6-10 pieces";

     L13<16;"11-15 pieces";

     L13<21;"16-20 pieces")

    These won’t work alone:

    =ALS(EN(L13>5;L13<11);"6-10 pieces")

    Same problem → no “false” result, so Excel returns ONWAAR.
