I found a solution on the first day of 2025. Click View --> Unfreeze panes --> Save --> Quite --> Open it again and see

Twobizzy515 - This happens when the Data has a Filter active. Go to Data and unselect Filter.

Glad I could help! I can't tell you how many times I've been stuck in this same spot until soneone said,
"Hey, your filter is on." 😁
- HenderburnCopper ContributorThe "Unhide" button should perform its function, regardless of sorts or filters on the spreadsheet. Unhide should unhide hidden rows. End of story. If it doesn't, rename it. Right now, I have a spreadsheet where the unhide function does not work but double-clicking the hidden rows does. This makes no sense.

Accidentally discovered that after switching off the sort button (funnel) and then switching it on again, resolved the issue.
Also, copy paste of all cells into another sheet exposed the hidden cells.
Hope this helps.

- Leel_de_SilvaCopper ContributorCannot unhide rows. HELP.
No Filters.
No Frozen Panes.
No Split screens.
Using Excel on Mac- Leel_de_SilvaCopper ContributorOK found a solution. Had to unhide columns first, save the file, quit, reopen Excel then unhide. What an abomination. Surely Excel should work in a more smoother way.

You should be able to unhide by clicking in the upper left-hand corner of the spreadsheet (which selects all rows and all columns) and then selecting Format....Rows....Unhide

You're clicking on this corner?
What happens when you click there?
Does it all turn gray (or indicate that it's highlighted all rows and columns?
How did you hide the rows in the first place? Did you lock or protect the sheet?
