Hello Sorting out sales dates

Hello a little new to Excel, 

 

Would be great if I could help with Data Analysis. 

Have Sales date from 3 years, and tring to find a way to break it down to see Total doller sales for each year. Also have the ablity to break it down by Salesman as well.

    Historyhatman I would recommend you to learn about Pivot Tables. The attached file contains a few examples on what you can do with them, based on your data. Note that I added some transactions so that the data covers multiple years.

     

    All is done by clicking in the user interface. No complex formulas needed.
